Since COVID-19, we all know the importance of a clean and hygienic environment. During this pandemic, stores played a crucial role in providing clean and hygienic shopping carts.
With our AMBX (Anti-Microbial) technology, we conducted research after COVID-19 to see if people still felt more comfortable if these carts were protected against bacteria and viruses.
By adding a 3D-printed prototype around the handle of the shopping cart, we asked users about their shopping experience and what they thought of these kinds of solutions, and if they felt safer. The answer was clearly yes! 77% of the participants felt more comfortable and safe with antimicrobial handles.
